2010 Annual Financial Statements

Following requests at the NSW Finance professionals Conference, we are making a partial resumption of our training course schedule in 2010.
With the continued move to recognising asset classes at fair value, we will be adressing many of the associated problems, especially from the audit point of view.

The courses will cover

  • Other comprehensive income - a thorough treatment of all types of this new classification, and the new Statement.
  • The new financial instrument cateories - and their consequences.
  • Problems with the 2007 Statements - review of the Judges Notes from the 2007 Annual Financial Statements Awards.
  • Reporting the aftermath of CDOs - wording disclosures of legal actions.
  • Using the AIFMG Infrastructure Financial Management Guidelines - particularly in relation to the revaluation of roads infrastructure.
  • More on assets - definition of new v. renewed; Special Schedule 7.
