Plant Hire Rates Originally developed to comply with NT requirements, but applicable to all States - this product provides a simple, reliable and sound basis for setting hire rates. (They were experiencing problems with some Councils hiring plant to third parties at "special" rates.)
Simply insert the few details required - cost, plant description, estimated use, etc - and the spreadsheet template does the rest. Try a number of different utilisation estimates and see the effect that that has on the rates! Use hours or kilometres - both options are available!
Of course, you will still have to periodically review rates from time to time to ensure that our standards are applicable to your actual experience, and to adjust your rates in light of that experience, but our templates provide a sound, simple and easy start point.
